Distearyldimethylammonium Chloride (DSDMAC / D1821, CAS 107-64-2) is a long-chain dialkyl quaternary ammonium cationic surfactant. It is supplied in two forms: 98% off-white waxy solid flake, or 70% isopropanol dilute transparent viscous liquid. This product has excellent antistatic, softening, conditioning, bacteriostatic and emulsifying capacity. It strongly adsorbs on negative-charge surfaces such as hair fiber, cotton fabric, mineral surface, forming smooth lubricating film to eliminate static electricity, greatly improve softness and combability. Cosmetic grade is widely used in hair care formulations; industrial grade serves as textile finishing agent, industrial biocide and mineral flotation collector.
